Here Is What You'll Need:
- You will need to read the I9 verification form provided to you by your employer and ensure you have the proper identification listed on page two of the form. Do not fill out the form until the Notary arrives and allow them to guide you. This is important. Due to ever changing forms you will need to print the document for the Notary. We do suggest 1 - 3 copies incase errors are made.
- The Notary will not be notarizing your document with a Notary Stamp. Their position is to physically inspect the IDs you are providing to your employer. Copies will not suffice. They must be originals. They will however sign your document. The form itself is not actually notarized. The Notary is just acting as a trusted member of your State to sign the form after inspecting your ID's.
- If copies are needed by your employer, you will need to make color copies prior to your appointment time so that your Notary may initial the copies after comparing the copies to the originals.
- You will need to be on time for your appointment for your I9 Verification. Notaries are only permitted to wait 15 minutes after arrival to being the process. After that, you would need to reschedule your appointment without refund.
